LATAM Support Engineer

01. Essential Functions

Key Responsibilities

As our LATAM Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring successful deployment and adoption of Aratek solutions. Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting (remote and on-site) for Aratek hardware and software.
  • Assisting customers and partners with SDK/API integration on Windows, Android, and Linux platforms.
  • Collaborating with Sales and Product teams to deliver pre-sales technical consultations.
  • Conducting technical training and onboarding for partners, integrators, and end-users.
  • Supplying R&D/product teams with field feedback and customer insights.
  • Supporting deployments, POCs (Proof of Concept), and field testing in the region.
  • Preparing technical documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base content in English and Spanish/Portuguese.
  • Traveling across LATAM (20–30%) to support projects and customers.
02. Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Job Requirements

We’re looking for a hands-on support engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology and customer success. The ideal candidate will bring:

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Android OS.
  • Hands-on SDK integration experience (C++, C#, Java, Python preferred).
  • Familiarity with biometric technologies such as fingerprint and facial recognition.
  • Experience with APIs, USB drivers, mobile app support, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Networking and connectivity troubleshooting (a plus).

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a strong advantage).
  • Ability to produce technical documentation in both English and Spanish.

Experience & Education

  • 3–5 years in technical support, field engineering, or system integration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • Experience supporting government, financial, or identity-related projects (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of biometric industry standards (ISO, NIST, FBI PIV).
  • Experience with LATAM government ID projects, voter registration, KYC/AML, or access control systems.
  • Familiarity with Aratek or similar biometric devices (a strong plus).
